“BURINTEKH”, Ltd employee won the Russian Table Tennis Championship.

On August 13 and 14, St. Petersburg hosted the VI Russian Personal Amateur Table Tennis Championship.

Among the 129 best amateurs of the country “BURINTEKH”, Ltd employee Mikhail Yakovlev took first place. Mikhail won the Champions Division with a score of 3:2.

Mikhail has been playing table tennis since the age of 10, in his student years he won the Cup of Bashkiria, became the champion of Bashkiria and among oil and gas universities in Russia. The preparation for the Russian Personal Amateur Table Tennis Championship took 1 month, two weeks before the tournament the selection was made.

“All the opponents were strong, I didn't know most of the players before, they all have different playing styles. The most difficult was the semifinal game, 5 sets were played in it, where in the deciding match I lost 9:10 but was able to scratch out a win,” says Mikhail Yakovlev.
